The Seventh-day Adventist Church has a different interpretation - the final battle of Armageddon would come after the period of the thousand years mentioned in the Book of Revelation (from 20.4 to 6) where the righteous dwell with God in heaven and the damned will be judged. According to this interpretation, Christ and his saints (and the Kingdom of Heaven where they live now) will come down to Earth, away from evil. Christ will resurrect the dead and damned both sides will take part in a final battle between good and evil. Satan and his followers seek to defeat the servants of Christ, but they will be overwhelmed by its power. Under his command, God will destroy Satan and the damned, once and for all with an overwhelming fire. The Earth will be burned, purified from all evil, and then, according to the two final chapters of Revelation, the Earth will eventually be recreated again and restored to its original state before sin appeared in the world. Following Christ and His redeemed saints will be declared victorious.

De Zevende-dags Adventisten heeft een andere interpretatie - de laatste slag van Armageddon zou komen na de periode van de duizend jaar, bedoeld in het Boek van de Openbaring (20,4-6), waar de rechtvaardigen met God in de hemel wonen en de verdoemden zal zijn beoordeeld.
